Jury Seated, Opening Arguments Tuesday Morning in Salyers’ Complicity to Murder Trial

A jury has been seated and opening arguments will be given Tuesday morning in the “Complicity to Murder” trial of David Salyers, one of five persons total charged in connection with the September 26th, 2012 murder of Wendell “Gleason” Pyles who was shot to death while at work at Tarter Gate Company in Dunnville.

Salyers is being tried in Green County after a change of venue was granted by Circuit Judge Judy Vance.

The special prosecutor in the case requested the Salyers’ trial be moved outside of Casey County.

Some 200 potential jurors were brought in for Monday’s jury selection process in Greensburg with the court proceedings recessing for the day just before 6:00 p.m.

Opening arguments are scheduled to begin Tuesday morning.
