LewisLewis Carlyle Patten, age 70, of Liberty, died Wednesday, June 7, 2017, at Casey County Hospital.

Born on May 27, 1947, in Dunnville, KY, he was a son of the late William Walter and Ruth Pearl Davis Patten. Lewis was a mechanic. He enjoyed fishing and loved his grandchildren.

Lewis is survived by his loving wife, Doris Julita Wethington Patten of Dunnville; a daughter, Christina Patten of Dunnville; a son, Christopher Patten of Dunnville; two grandchildren, Brandon (and Nakya) Patten and Zachary Patten. He is also survived by five sisters, Tina Patten of Liberty, Carol (and Terry) Wethington of Liberty, Roxie Short of Dayton, Ohio, Marie (and Gary) Smith of London, and Charlotte Ali of Dayton, Ohio. Lewis is also survived by five brothers, Curtis Patten of Liberty, Lowell Patten of Liberty, Andrew (and Judy) Patten of Dunnville, Dallas (and Ledia) Patten of Liberty, and Kenny Patten of Middleburg.

The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 10, 2017, at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home with Father Edmund Ani officiating. Burial will follow in St. Bernard Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. on Friday, June 9, 2017, with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m., all of which will be held at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home.
