ANNA HARRIS

 

Anna Mae Overstreet Harris, of Dunnville, passed away on Thursday, March 21, 2024, at her home. She was 78.

 

Born on December 14, 1945, in Casey County, Kentucky, she was the daughter of the late Clellie and Lillie Mae Woods Overstreet. Anna was formerly a retail clerk at The Trading Post and worked at Liberty Sportswear, Osh Kosh, and Phillips Day Care. She was a proud member of Salem United Methodist Church since the age of eleven. Affectionately known as “Granny Mae,” she loved UK basketball, flowers, gardening, and cats and dogs, especially her dog, Ynetta. She married the late Jerry Harris on August 30, 1966.

 

She is survived by a daughter, Shelia Bowmer (John Ambs); a granddaughter, Tiffany Bruine (Jeremy New); three great-grandchildren, Jaycee Goode, Harley Galloway, and Avayah Galloway; and two brothers, Jackie Overstreet and Johnnie Overstreet, both of Dunnville.

 

The funeral service will be held at 12:00 P.M. on Saturday, March 23, 2024, at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home with Bro. John Loper officiating.

 

Burial will follow in Salem Cemetery.

 

The family will receive friends from 10:00 A.M. to 12:00 P.M. on Saturday, March 23, 2024, at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home.

 

Pallbearers will be Jeremy New, David Davis, Neil Allen, John Ambs, Tiffany Bruine, and Jaycee Goode. Honorary pallbearers will be Jackie Overstreet, Johnnie Overstreet, Harley Galloway, and Avayah Galloway.

 

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of Lake Cumberland or to Salem Cemetery.
