R C WeddleR.C. (Rupert Christopher) Weddle, Jr., age 88, of Liberty, died Monday, May 8, 2017 at his home.

R.C. was a devoted deacon and member of Walnut Hill Separate Baptist Church his entire life. He served as Sunday School Superintendent for over 60 years. He took great pride in his family and his farm. He enjoyed sports and traveling, including visiting all fifty states and their capitals. R.C. also visited several countries in North, Central, and South America, as well as the Caribbean.

He is survived by his loving wife of seventy-two years, Alma Vida (Hatter) Weddle; two sons, Ronald (and Linda) Weddle of Bardstown and Chris (and Connie) Weddle of Liberty; nine grandchildren, Leslie (and Dave) Schulz, Jason Weeks, Ryan (and Jessica) Weddle, Aimee Weddle, B.J. Weeks, Joshua Weddle, Scott (and Lara) Weddle, Jennifer (and Darrell) Wittenauer and Kristin Weddle; six great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews, and loving caregivers, Kathy Miller, Mary Miller, Joanie Rodgers, and Odessa Wilkie.

In lieu of flowers, contributions of sympathy may be made to Walnut Hill Separate Baptist Church.

The funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, May 12, 2017 at Walnut Hill Separate Baptist Church with Bro. Rodney Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Casey County Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends fromĀ 5 to 9 p.m. on Thursday, May 11, 2017 and from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Walnut Hill Separate Baptist Church on Friday May 12, 2017.
