Richard Neal Weddle, age 61, of Liberty, died Saturday, May 27, 2017 in Somerset.

Born on May 23, 1956, in Danville, Kentucky, he was a son of Hazel Weddle and the late Edwin Eugene Weddle. Richard owned and operated Liberty Tire and Muffler for nearly twenty years. He was also a farmer. Richard enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time with his grandchildren. He is a graduate of MCU.

He is survived by his mother, Hazel Haarman Weddle; two sons, Neal (and Danielle) Weddle of Yosemite and Jason Weddle of Liberty; two sisters, Jane Wardrip of Liberty and Kathy (and Ricky) Bastin of Oklahoma; and four brothers, Roger (and Judy) Weddle, David (and Barbara) Weddle, Robert “Bob” (and Faye) Weddle, and Jerry Weddle, all of Liberty. He is also survived by six loving grandchildren, Jake, Morgan, Ava, Landon, Evan, and Ali.
In addition to his father, Edwin Weddle, Richard is predeceased by a stillborn daughter, Rhonda Gail Weddle.

The funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 31, 2017, at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home with Bro. Greg Powell officiating. Burial will follow in Salyers Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 10:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m on May 31, 2017, at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home.
